Portfolio

Over the course of this semester, I was able to learn many things using adobe apps such as illustrator, photoshop, and indesign. Using these tools was entirely new for me and it was definitely a struggle to figure out at first. Eventually, I was able to understand how to use everything and I think a lot of my projects turned out well. Out of the ones I made, I think my logo, animation and somewhere projects are my favorite to look at. I am glad that I have a basic understanding about adobe tools. This class also taught me about transporting files and I find that extremely useful in day to day situations. Overall, I enjoyed my time with these projects and I could see myself making similar things in the future.

Animation

Image
This short animation was made to resemble comic book characters with super powers. First, you can see the person power up to get stronger. Then, they charge up an energy blast that they shoot somewhere else in their own world. The character's movements were all individually set in each frame as well as the drawings; the energy blast and yellow aura surrounding the man are all hand drawn in each frame. The animation was made in over 300 frames.

Business Cards

Image
The pictures below are my personal business cards. The pictures above are the sketches I made for them. I used indesign to create these and I think they turned out nice. They did not come out exactly the way that I wanted them to because of the difficult designs of each one. If I had more time I could probably have figured out how to do them eventually. I really was hoping to get the diagonal contrast look, but my best attempt at that is the last business card on the bottom. I thought the idea was very unique and would have been cool to have done on at least one of the cards.

Postcard

Image
My inspiration behind my postcard was the proboscis monkey. These monkeys are known of being extremely loud due to their unusual noses. Their noses act like guitars, bouncing sound in and around them. Not many people actually know about this monkey, so to see a farm of them would be pretty cool.

Id HW 1

In this first video, the creator teaches you how to use the free transform tool. Similar to the select tool, this tool allows you to select, resize, and rotate frames. But in contrast, whenever you go to change the size of a picture, it resizes not only the frame, but the size of the picture keeping everything in ratio. This could be a helpful tool whenever you are quickly going around editing the placement of your pictures on your worksheet. This video was short and easy to follow, so applying this tool could be applied to your projects quickly.  In this next video, this creator shows us how to use the convert shape tool. This allows the user to turn any shape into another. There are only a few buttons that need to be hit, so it would be easy for anyone to find and apply to their work. I liked this video because not only did it show how to change the shapes using the convert shape tool, but it gave us other ways to change shapes including using the pen tool. I think I could use this

Somewhere

Image
The movie I chose to put myself into was Rush Hour. To make this picture, I used photoshop to make a "mask" out of a photo of myself. I then used the healing brush tool and the clone stamp tool to patch up and blend the two pictures together. I fixed the saturation of my own picture to match the rest of the scene's quality since it is quite an old movie. To put the icing on the cake, I put my brand logo in a green color that would pop out and show everybody that I made this picture.

Ps HW 3

Image
I found this image and thought it would be quite difficult to recreate. The color streaks look like they fit perfectly into the environment and I am not sure how the artist was able to accomplish this look. It reminds me of someone using a camera with slower shutter speeds to make moving light appear like it it staying where it once was. I wonder if there was maybe something else in the man's place that got cut out and replaced that originally had light.  This next picture inspired me to put myself in a photo with famous people. My idea is to put myself in the comedy movie "Rush Hour". This movie is about two detectives from two different countries who need to work together to save a Chinese diplomat's daughter after she was kidnapped. It is one of my favorite movies and it features Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan as the lead actors. I found this image quite funny because it reminded me of somebody I knew. I have seen James Fridman''s work before and he is an e
