Ai HW #1

The tool used in this video was “divide” in the “pathfinder” tab under “window” and it allows for you to cut shapes in any way you would like as many times as you would like. I think this tool would be really easy to use. If I were to be making some sort of graphic design, I think this tool would be really helpful in making a design based off of the shapes I had. Something I found interesting about the video was its 60 second explanation. They only had a five second intro and then got right into showing the tool. A lot of content creators like to add long intros and extra content that is not needed in a tutorial.

The tool used in this video is the repeat grip tool. This tool allows you to essentially copy and paste an item into a grid format with columns and rows. It also allows you to change the spacing in between the shapes and the size of the grid. I think this tool could be really helpful and easy to use. If I ever needed to make an American flag I could use this tool to create all 50 stars very quickly. One thing I found interesting was how you could still change the color of the item while it was in the grid.

In this video, it teaches you how to repeat shapes with the rotate tool. The tool allows for one shape to be copied around another giving users an easy way to create symmetry around the base shape. I think I could use this to make a symmetrical logo of some sort or maybe even an optical illusion. This could also be an easy way to create a clock or even planets revolving around a sun. I believe that this will be another easy tool to use with how simple the directions were in the video. Something I found interesting about this video was how it was split up into specific parts along the scrub bar to quickly get to what you needed, so that you could skip the intro and outro of the video.
